    You are looking at a neat clock evoking the walls of an old train station in the golden days of railroading.  This is Texas and Pacific clock in a wooden frame. The unit has the clock in the top part, with a neat T&P logo on it, and then a large T&P logo sign on the bottom half. All of this has a cork backing on the inside of the box.
    The clock has "4/1/83 DAL" on that back in black marker. If that is a date, was this the date and place of acquisition by the family? Was it the date of manufacture? The T&P did run in the Dallas area. It merged with the Missouri Pacific in 1976. The clock came out of an estate of a multi-generational T&P family in the Dallas area. I do not know for sure where it was obtained or who made it. I have seen similar items as anniversary, presentation, or service gifts.
    This is not something you see for sale very often; I did not come across any like it having been sold in all of my research. The box measures 13" tall x 9" wide and 3.5" deep.
    It would look great on the wall in the train room or man cave.
