I (Mike Seipel) have used my 30 years of experience and training to personally design each of the Barefoot International booms without compromising safety. They are all built to stay strong and won’t damage your boat. For added safety, our booms utilize a dual stainless steel cable system that runs all the way to the attachment point at the bow. There are no levers or moving parts in my clamp designs because they can loosen or break during use. The clamps for each boom are extremely strong with heavy duty hardware to ensure they remain mounted firmly to the pylon. They also have a quick release pin which makes it easy to attach and remove the boom. Other companies use inferior designs such as a single cable system or straps which will wear out or even worse, entirely fail… I have seen it happen. All our booms are built to stay strong. For added safety our booms have a dual stainless steel cable system that runs all the way from the boom to the attachment point at the bow of the boat. Barefoot International Deluxe Booms are the world's only solid 100% aluminum booms. This helps prevent dangerous springback. These booms feature easy on/off quick release pin, cut-down knurled grip, and cut-down rope holder. Come with gunnel saver, boom pad, and 100% stainless steel hook and cables. All adjustments to these booms are made inside the bow protector eliminating clamps and turnbuckles.
Solid (not hollow) aluminum eliminates dangerous spring-back during falls. A lot of flex with memory for realistic feel but will not stay bent. Dual stainless steel coated cables, no thin webbing. Heavy duty aircraft quick release pin allows you to put boom on and off in seconds. Solid high quality aircraft aluminum boom clamp offers metal to metal contact with no moving parts to wear out. Includes boom pad, cable protector and gunnel saver. Standard 2-1/2" clamp.Two 6' sections. Total weight: 35 lbs. Quad V-Drive Boom - B204V
Fits V-Drive boats with pylons in rear that stick up past sundeck at least three inches (except Malibu V Drives prior to 2000). Important: clamp requires a minimum of 3" (vertically) of 2.5" diameter non-tapered pylon to hold safely.
