    Description

Large and ornate Alaskan Native Mandella. Handmade from Rabbit Fur, Leather, Bird Feathers, and burled wood.
Crafted by Alaska's south coastal Indians in the 1970s and certified to be authentic.
This is an unusually intricate and long (24") mandala, generously adorned with native animal fur and feathers and embellished with natural burl carvings.
An exceptional example of the craft and certainly a one-of-a-kind mandala.
    Be well.
    _____________________________________________________
The Native American mandala was created by a people that truly understand the deeper undercurrents of thought, nature, and life
in connection with the grander scale of the universe.
The term mandala simply means ‘circle’, and
represents the unification of man, nature, and the spiritual in a cyclical path from birth to death.
Native Alaskans have taken this a step further and created lovely circular designs to more deeply connect with their environment and to meditate with nature.
