TOTALLY original 1910 RPPC real photo postcard showing the
    all Black 9th "Buffalo" Cavalry
participating in the rodeo at the 1910 Wyoming State Fair in Douglas Wyoming. One can look at the "close-up" (scan #3) and easily tell that these are U S Army Soldiers of Color.
While the "blurb" in the original negative states that this is the 1910 Wyoming State Fair at Douglas Wyoming it does not mention the soldiers being African American members of the legendary 9th "Buffalo" Cavalry. But a brief o n l i n e search turns up many references to the all-Black 9th Cavalry participating in that fair and there are even a few other images of 1910 real photo postcards - apparently from the same series as mine - of them doing so (although I did NOT see mine among the available images).
Standard sized postcard. The type of AZO stamp box on the verso dates it between 1904-1918 but the card is dated 1910 in the negative
An original and very rare photographic document of black history in the United States.
